Frequently asked questions

What does Pollen actually do?

You screenshot something, or share a link to Pollen the way you'd share it to a friend. Pollen works out what it is, files it under a real category, and finds a working link back to where it came from. Later, you can find it again and open the real source instead of hunting through your camera roll.

How do I save something?

Take a screenshot as you normally would, or use the share sheet on a link and choose Pollen. That's the whole action. Pollen picks it up, classifies it, and adds it to your catalog automatically.

Does Pollen read all my screenshots?

No. Pollen only sees what you explicitly save into it, either by importing a screenshot yourself or sharing a link to it. It does not have background access to your camera roll.

Is what I save private?

Yes, by default. The only exception is your Wishlist, which is visible to people you're connected with so they can reserve something for you without spoiling the surprise. Everything else stays visible only to you.

Can my friends see everything I save?

No. They only ever see items you've marked as purchasable in your Wishlist. Your full catalog, categories, and anything not on the Wishlist stay private.

What if Pollen can't find the exact source?

It tells you rather than guessing. Pollen would rather show "source not confirmed" than send you to the wrong shop or the wrong video.

Why does Pollen send me notifications?

If something you saved a while back is still sitting there untouched, or a friend saves something new, Pollen may send a real message about it, never a generic push blast. You can turn this off any time from Settings.

How do I remove a friend or follower?

Open Friends from Settings, switch to the Following or Followers tab, and remove anyone from either side. Removing someone immediately removes their access to your Wishlist.

How do I delete my account?

Settings, then Delete account, then confirm. It's permanent and removes your saved items, connections, and account. See deleting your account for details.

Does Pollen cost anything?

Pollen is free to use right now.

What platforms is Pollen available on?

Android today. iOS is not available yet.

Something's wrong, or I have an idea. How do I tell you?

Settings has a "Send feedback" option that goes straight to us in plain text, no forms. Or write to hello@joinpollen.app directly.
