Pollen is built to organize the things you save. This page explains what we collect, why, and what stays under your control. If any of it is unclear, write to hello@joinpollen.app and a person will answer.
We do not collect your contacts, your location in the background, or anything from your camera roll beyond what you actively save into Pollen.
Saved screenshots are processed by an automated classification step so Pollen can file them correctly and find a working link back to the source. This processing is automatic. Nobody at Pollen reads your saves as part of normal operation.
Some of that processing is handled by third-party AI providers (currently DeepSeek and Anthropic) purely to interpret the content of a screenshot or link. They receive only the image or link needed to classify that one save, not your identity, phone number, or account history.
Everything you save is private to you by default. The one exception is your Wishlist: items you mark as purchasable there become visible to people you are connected with, so they can reserve something without it being duplicated as a gift. You choose who you are connected with, and you can remove anyone at any time from the Friends screen. Removing a connection removes their visibility into your Wishlist immediately.
Pollen never sells your data, and never shares it with advertisers.
Your data is stored with Supabase, our database and storage provider, using access rules that scope every row to your own account. Only you can read your own saves; the one exception is the Wishlist sharing described above.
Pollen can notify you when something you saved a while ago is worth revisiting, or when a friend saves something new. This is entirely optional and controlled from your device's notification settings, reachable directly from Pollen's own Settings screen.
You can permanently delete your account from Settings inside the app, in two taps. This removes your saved items, your connections, and your account itself. It is not a soft delete: once confirmed, it cannot be undone or recovered by us.
If you send feedback before deleting, the text of that feedback may be retained in anonymized form (disconnected from your account) so we can keep improving the product without keeping anything that identifies you.
Pollen is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, tell you inside the app.
